RUNWAY BANDITS III

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

I've said I'd blog about Runway Bandits latest lookbook shoot and here it is!
Wow, looking back, it's been a year plus with Runway Bandits, hasn't it?
This is my 3rd lookbook with them. We've come so so far together :')

The entire team looked forward to this shoot cause we worked with a different photographer (Lenne) this time round! I've worked with her before and I know she's good so I was really excited about the good she can do for Runway Bandits. So the concept was about... having fun, natural, and..... MORE FUN. Lenne wanted me to feel like I'm going out on a date and be fun and natural. A lot of shots y'all didn't manage to see, I end up being crazy and wild instead hahahahaha.

And yes, that's Lenne!!
I worked with her for AforArcade's shoot previously,
so it was comfortable working with her.

This was the first look which majority of the team liked.
I personally preferred the second look hehehe, and you'll see it later.

HERE COMES THE SECOND LOOK, MY FAVOURITE LOOK:
THE SKATER GIRL

Many would ask, "Do you skate, Irina?"
That's a question I won't ever answer. A little mystery goes a long way, isn't it? /winkwink/
I love how my job give me the ability to explore different personalities but in a subtle way.
Unlike actors, it's sort of a must to explore in a certain required depth so that their understanding towards the character would help their performance to look real.

THIRD LOOK: THE TYPICAL GLAM & CHIO GIRL KIND OF LOOK HAHA

The makeup's always amazing whenever it's done by Gerra. Love love it.
But of course, off set I'm nothing close to glam and chio hahaha

After we're done at the first location, we moved on to the next one.
The second location was at this really cool and interesting cafe.
For someone like me, who's so into cafe-hopping, how come I don't know of it?!

Once we're there, we got ready for the fourth look.

Doing the Miley thing~

There was a lot of experimenting in the fourth look from the hair to the location of shoot to personality I should embody. This is why you see the different side of me carrying different personality/feel, but all in the same outift and that the photos weren't as consistent as others but it's alright. They're all still cool.

MOVING ON TO THE LAST OUTFIT!

The team decided to use the real flowers they got and turn it into a headpiece for the shoot hahaha.
So yeah, I can hazzzzz sunflower bun-buns /swagger mode on/

How the bubbles came about. Thanks Fiona for working hard hahahahaha.

Something real cool about the shoot. Look at the camera Lenne was using!!!!
Some old school legit antique shit!!!! It's a super olddddddd polaroid cameraaaaaa~
She used all of these: polaroid, film and digital cameras for the shoot and I love that she did cause I've always wanted to work on a set with film and polaroid and yayyyy blessed that I did.

SO HERE'S THE LOOKBOOK:

SHOP LOOKBOOK NOW AT RUNWAYBANDITS.COM

Fiona, Jia Zhen and of course, the lovely Swee.

What a blessed child I am. Never have I thought to be working this long for this brand which I've grown to adore. Working for online store, definitely helps in versatility as a model, which is really important. Some fashion models may see this as degrading, but I'll never ever see it this way for I've learnt so much from the people I've worked with. I'd really love to see this brand go far, the potential it has is immense and I can't wait to see it bloom. Thank you for those who've been supporting me on Runway Bandits too, you guys are the sweetest ♥♥♥

Share with me which look is your fave yeh!!!! HEHEHE Would really love to know!

HEARTS RUNNING SOLO

Just got off the phone with a girlfriend who just broke up yesterday. And yesterday too, I met another girlfriend who just broke up few days back. And, I've also been speaking to friends who're having relationship problems. What's with all of this now? Am I uninformed that it's the break-up season already? C'mon, November is my birthday month. It's not supposed to be shitty, guys.

A friend told me something that struck me hard till today,
"I wish for a new relationship, except I want it with the same guy."

Think about it. True enough for you? Because it's a yes for me. That is actually what most people would secretly want. To have a fresh start with someone they were once familiar with; a entirely clean slate. Isn't it just the easiest way out? Instead of spending the time to know someone entirely new, doing everything all over again; the chasing, the wooing, the habits and interests exploration, the similar conversation topics finder etc., people choose to work on the old; something they are already familiar and comfortable with. This is probably why I know of so many couples who got back together.... eventually. Is this what they meant by if it's meant to be, it'll be or... it's just basically how human laziness works?

We humans are flawed and at the same time blessed, with our short-term memory. When we miss someone, we tend to think of the good and never the bad. So with this, it's much easier to forget why we were so upset in the first place or the details that escalated the conflict/break-up. Because of that gray area, people often harbour unnecessary hope and envision a better future once again since they already know of their past mistakes and promise to work on them together. But, really?

Is that a promise we would all realistically adhere to, since the first one wasn't even kept?

#justaremindertoself

Don't get me wrong. I'm definitely not all against the couples who patched up and made things work cause it's truly something admirable. I do believe if people want things bad enough, they'd go extra miles for it. But at the same time, people are also hurt enough, they prefer to stay where they are and live life cautiously.
