Hiiiii guys!!!!!
Good news: No castings and shows today!
So I can sit down and finally blog.
Let's begin:
I'll be recommending what I usually do before I book a flight. This whole experience has been really fun for me (though a little troublesome) as this is my first time!!!!!! My mom and friends were the ones who look after this area so having to handle this on my own was pretty cool. Really felt pretty adult a little but there haha.
To know if it's worthy, you will need a little bit of digging:
I constantly check, track and monitor the flight rates (sounds crazy I know).
Surprisingly, I enjoy doing it. I feel happy looking at the flight fares, schedules, timing, places I can go because I know someday I will set my footprints there. Looking at these crazy fares actually calm the wanderlust bug down a little haha.
Do not jump into conclusions. Your friends may like that country/place, but you may not. So do some research and see if you're suitable for that climate, culture etc. Read up on their latest news, if there's any disaster, riots, fights whatnots lately. Check out what are the hot tourist attraction places, best food, activities to do there, mode of transportations. All these will come in handy in decision making process.
Different people prefer different kind of lodging place. So look for what you like. Suite? Villa? Small room? Boutique hotel? Apartment style? Village style? Where exactly do you want to stay? Near shopping mall? Or near beach? Or near road? Or near airport, whatever. See if there is any promotions. No point checking fares when the hotel lodging cost is expensive. We need to ensure a win-win no matter what here haha (kiasu maximum I know).
When everything is in your favour, go ahead and book!!!!!!!!!!
I was too slow for my Phuket trip so from $103 flight fare per person, to-and-fro, it became $153 when I was ready to buy. See!!!! Always act fast, but never impulsive though.
And also, remember to book ahead because then you'll get a better price.
I booked the Phuket flight in... August 2012? So yeah, you get me.
Now..... (photo spam)
Flight at about 8am, so we got up real early to check in.
First meal in Phuket. Awesome maximum.
It was a really random and quiet alley, Jerm and I decided to explore.
Glad that we found this restaurant because the food was just so damn nice!
I missed this hair colour of mine.
The colour faded because of (too much) sun exposure, the beach and the chlorine in swimming pool.
Boyfriend looking rather swaggy hehe
Then we headed back to our hotel to chill.
It has a wonderful rooftop with swimming pool, bar, jacuzzi, pool table.
So it was really cool.
We then checked in. Reason why we chilled at the rooftop first was because check in time 2pm.
And we were there at 12pm.
And so, we decided to change out and find some adventure!!!!
There was just something about Phuket.
My boyfriend naturally became swaggier there.
The weather was hotter than what I expected.
People walked around topless or in bikini.
Jerm couldn't stand the heat and decided to join the crowd.
Topless even in premium looking shopping mall lol.
And then, we saw this open concept beauty parlor in the shopping mall.
Got fascinated and we thought, we must go back and try!
Can you spot Jerm in the picture hurhur.
Look at that! Husband Day Care Centre hehehe. So cute.
And then I decided to do something crazy.
Well yeah, I tried para-sailing!!!!!
WOOHOO!!! Something off bucket list *winks*
I spotted the parachute from afar, and exclaimed excitedly like a little kiddo to Jerm,
"I want that! I want to try that! Let's go now!"
Jerm sat on the boat that I was attached to.
He was in charge of photo-taking since he's not good with heights.
And that's how I took off!!!! Sorry for the few pixelated pictures!
Jerm was really far away from the shore by then.
!!!!!!!
Still can't believe I was the one up there hehe.
We moved on to explore the place.
Found this space where the crowd frequents at night.
It's a place that holds at least fifty pubs, and this place at night becomes a club.
(I think, at least from I saw and understood)
Boyfriend knows me best. We grabbed some Haagen-daz before leaving.
Took tuk-tuk back to our hotel.
Tuk-tuks and taxis are really expensive.
It'd be good if you can ride a bike in Phuket.
This open-bar Volkswagen is simply creative.
Boyfriend then came up with the best idea to take away from restaurant and eat in since we have a balcony/kitchen in our room. That's a really great idea because I had a really good time chilling with him. No crowds, just us. Awesome night indeed.
That's all for Phuket Day 1.
Look out for Day 2 yeah!
Thank you for being so patient, I know I kept you waiting long hehe.
Hey can I know which hotel u stay in?
